In April 2026, PILORI returns with their third album, Sans Adieu (which means something likes “Without Farewell”), coinciding with the band’s 10th anniversary.

Pilori was formed in Rouen (France) in March 2016 as an opening act for Regarde Les Hommes Tomber.

Since then, their abrasive, dark, and impactful sound, filled with both profound darkness and violent flashes of light, has constantly evolved and asserted itself through diverse influences, never limiting themselves. Their style navigates between crust, black metal, and death metal, while also drawing from grindcore and chaotic hardcore.

Sans Adieu is, like their two previous records, produced with Cyrille Gachet (Fange, Year of No Light, Sordide, Monarch, Yarotz, Verdun, etc.), then mastered by Brad Boatright (Nails, Full of Hell, Cult Leader, Gatecreeper, Obituary, Pig Destroyer, Tragedy, etc.).

The album will be released on Frozen Records (Fange, Sorcerer, Calcine, Nature Morte, Cavalerie, Sang Froid, Citrus, etc.).

Very active on stage, the norman combo has performed over 150 concerts across 20 countries, with bands like Full of Hell, Cult Leader, Nostromo, Wormrot, Birds in Row, Sumac, Primitive Man, Oathbreaker, Inter Arma, Coilguns, The Body, Fange, Implore, Wake, Harm Done, Worst Doubt, Plebeian Grandstand, Whoresnation, Cowards, Comity, Bas, Rotten, Gummo, Lazare, and many more.

In August 2026, Pilori will play at the Motocultor Festival (Carhaix, FR) alongside Emperor, Alcest, Amenra, Deafhaven, Cryptopsy, Municipal Waste, Vader, Voivod…, after having already been booked in June 2022 at Hellfest Open Air (Clisson, FR), playing on the HellStage.

Their first act, À Nos Morts, was released in June 2020, and the second, Quand Bien Même L’Enfer et le Déluge S’abattraient sur Nous, in September 2022. Each album received very positive reviews from the trade press (read it below), and the public gave to it a good reception (all the vinyl records pressed, 800 in total, are now sold out; the same for the various cassette versions).

The single „Meurtrière“ has surpassed 120,000 streams on Spotify and its music video has surpassed 14,000 views on YouTube, and „La Grande Terreur“ is approaching 100,000 streams on Spotify.

True to a DIY spirit since its inception, the band manages itself and has no communication agency, booker, manager, or other external partners.
