DESCRIPTION:Artwork Orion-Landau\n\n\n\n\nCHOROSIA is a prog/post-sludge metal band from Vienna\, Austria that was founded in 2017. \n\n\n\nAlready the following year\, in May 2018\, Chorosia independently released their first\, self-titled\, album which was welcomed with positive reviews by various underground music critics\, some even naming it an honorable mention for the metal album of the year. \n\n\n\nAfter doing a number of local dates to promote the album which included playing before or after various well-known names such as Crowbar\, Dopelord\, Yob\, Neurosis\, Black Tusk\, and the Skull and a self-booked 8-day tour through southern Europe in 2019\, Chorosia released their sophomore studio effort entitled “A Call To Love” through Grazil Records. \n\n\n\n“A Call To Love” marked the band’s departure from the traditional sludge sound into a more experimental ground. \n\n\n\nCombining elements of sludge\, doom\, grind\, and even folk music\, online critics often struggled to put a genre tag to the album. Instead\, they praised it for its creativity\, weirdness\, and even strange beauty. \n\n\n\nThe band’s third studio effort has been released once again via Grazil Records in collaboration with Kvlt und Kaos Productions. The 35-minute EP “Stray Dogs” deepens the experimental efforts and becomes a prog/post-sludge odyssey that pushes the envelope of the genre. \n\n\n\nChorosia’s signature blend of intriguing instrumentation and growling vocals once again left the reviewers unable to place the album within one single genre. Instead\, reviewers and magazines generally praised the raw power of this unique sounding record describing it as “vicious” and “disturbing in a good way”. \n\n\n\nTHOSAR is an Austrian sludge/doom metal band from Graz founded in 2020. Their music is characterized by heavy bass riffs\, pounding drums\, and wailing vocals that create a dark and intense atmosphere. Their live performances are energetic and immersive. \n\n\n\nThosar builds a wall of sound using HM2\, Fuzz\, blast- and d-beats. Lyrically\, the band dives into political and societal themes\, confronting decay\, oppression and resignation. \n\n\n\nThey have released four records so far: the debut album Omega (2020)\, the EP Grelle Musik Session (2022)\, the full-length Elementa (2022)\, and the EP Built on Bodies (2024). In October 2025\, they are touring with their new album\, The Bold Idea Of Being Satisfied (2025).  \n\n\n\nTHE WRIGHT VALLEY TRIO was founded in 2013 by Dominique Fricker on guitars and vocals\, Robert Krause on bass and synthesizer\, and Matthias Rodig on drums. \n\n\n\nThe three musicians already worked together in prior years in other projects. This developed to be a productive combo\, which released 7 EPs and albums in the following years.
